Year: 1983- I first heard "Candy Girl"   by New Edition (Boston group) when i lived in Massachusetts. Something clicked in my soul as soon as it came on. We used to anger our neighbors in Newton something fierce by standing on the corner with a boombox on my shoulder blaring New Edition. That was my first introduction to Mike Bivins . Later, he created Biv 10 Records and the East Coast Family.
